Convert fuel efficiency units
MPG (Miles Per Gallon) measures fuel economy (how far you can travel on a gallon of fuel). L/100km (Liters per 100 Kilometers) measures fuel consumption (how much fuel is consumed to travel 100 kilometers). Thus, a higher MPG represents better efficiency, while a lower L/100km is more efficient.
To convert US MPG to L/100km, divide 235.215 by the MPG value. For example, 30 MPG US = 235.215 / 30 ≈ 7.84 L/100km. For Imperial MPG (UK), divide 282.481 by the MPG value.
KMPL stands for Kilometers Per Liter, which is the standard metric unit of fuel economy used in countries like India. It represents the distance in kilometers a vehicle can travel on one liter of fuel.
